Catch Up!

Hello All: Sorry to have left you hanging there for so long without an update. The surgery and stuff got the best of me there for awhile but I am recovering now. So, catch up time, Ready? Set! GO!!!!

May 2oth I had the surgery done to remove the tumor! It went well and I am now home recovering. Its a long process with a lot of changes that I will save you the details on. Just know it is going to be a long road ahead to getting healthy!

BIG NEWS: I quit smoking as of May 20th. I wont go back either!

TJ is doing well, he is holding his own as he tends to do in his fight against cancer. He has his ups and downs as to be expected but for the most part we are so blessed and he is feeling well.

My nurse from my PCP is running in the Nike Leukemia Lymphoma Society 26.2 mile Marathon in CA in October in honor of our son TJ! Ill post the link here in this message PLEASE PLEASE go pledge a donation, even if it is just a dollar. She is not a runner she is just doing this to help find a cure and to support TJ! Her name is Mandy and she is a gem of a lady! She has taken such good care of me with my doctor all along that I owe my life to them both! Pass the information along its a tax deductiable donation to support her cause which is TJ and finding a cure! Lets show her we are behind her on this. Holding on

Hello all,

Just a fast update here: Tj is holding his own right now. Aside from being a bit more tired than normal he seems to be fine on the outside. Friday (Tomorrow) 04-24 he will be going in for a sonogram of the liver, kidneys and spleen. Then he has his normal breathing treatment, chemo, check up and blood tests. It is going to be a long day. Solomon will be taking him to these appointments because with all my health issues I just can not physically do it. I will be sure and update as soon as we get word back with the results of all the tests and stuff tomorrow.

I am in holding pattern right now awaiting brain surgery. I have to go on the 28th of this month and have a field vision test done and they are checking into the fact that they think I have Cushings. My sight is getting worse and it scares me that I am going to be completely blind at some point but the doctors are doing what they say is their best to make sure all the bases are covered in order to give me the best care they can. I am suffering from headaches now and also am so very tired all the time. This is a hard process to be going through but I know there are better things in store as soon as we get this tumor out.

Hats, we are still looking for donations. This hats drive means even more to TJ right now. He really needs other things to be focused on besides worring about my health and everything cancer related. So please if you have a hat laying around send it his way. Also if anyone has any more ideas on ways to get the word out to people about this project please contact me.

Remember folks Im doing my best to keep the updates coming but it is very hard for me to even stay at the computer for more than 15 minutes at a time and reading is dern near impossible. So please ignore the typos and misspellings.

Easter Wishes & short Update

Greetings everyone:

Easter 2009 has now come and gone. We had a blessed day with a fantastic dinner and lots of family time together. I was blessed by my mom, dad, daughter and grand babies to get flowers delivered. They are so very pretty and smell so fresh! We watched some movies together today and had a nice quiet day filled with the praises of God our Lord and saviour! We hope everyone had as nice of a day as we did.

TJ is doing okay right now, holding his own like the champ that he is. We are waiting till the end of the month for his next clinic appointment to have the sonogram of the liver, kidneys and spleen done. His dosages of chemo meds seems to be aggrivating things at this point and we are praying we are not starting down the "REJECTION" path again!

HATS: We are still on the constant look out for more hats to add to the collection so that TJ can reach his goal against cancer and the record for everyone who has cancer. So, if you have a hat that you are not in need of anyl longer please zip it off to his PO box. Even one hat helps add to the total count and we appreciate each and every single one we get. Thank you to those of you who have already donated hats. You are helping TJ make his mark on the world.

My health update as of right now is that I have an appointment at 2:30 today (Monday 04-13) with the Ear Nose and Throat Specialist at 2:0 p.m. EST My final blood tests came back mostly ok except for some indications that my thyroid is now underactive, this is a new thing and that my cortiazol (Sp) level is slightly elevated. My vision is not so great and seems to be getting worse as time passes. We are praying that the surgery is set up soon so that we can get it out of the way and start to get back on my feet again. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate the support!

Remember please hug and love the people in your life daily and make sure they know how important and special they are to you. Be honest in life with yourself and others! Do something kind for someone and feel good that you are able to make your mark on the world!
